Commercial Inspections
Double the size of your business, and add to your revenue streams. By joining Commercial Inspectors Association of America individuals or corporations can become certified in several different categories:
  • Property Condition Assessments - A Commercial Inspectors Association of America Brown Belt Certification will show clients that you are qualified to perform: commercial building inspections, triple net commercial inspections, commercial construction bank draw inspections, condominium assessments, fire and casualty inspections, restaurant inspections, small office and medical building inspections, strip shopping center inspections, partial inspections.

  • Environmental Phase I and II - Becoming certified with a Green Belt will show your clients that you are qualified to perform Phase I inspections/assessments. Phase II inspections may be performed by an engineer; however corporations can use their engineering personnel to Commercial Inspectors Association of America to certify their Phase II inspections/assessments.

  • Radon - A Green Belt Certification will also show your clients that you are capable of performing radon testing for schools and other commercial locales. Many pre-schools are in home basements, and states are requiring radon testing for these types of businesses. Furthermore most municipalities are now requiring radon testing for their schools.

  • Septic and Well - A Green Belt also demonstrates your certification for septic and well inspections.

  • Energy Assessments - A Yellow Belt Certification will show your clients that you are skilled in performing energy assessments. Many municipalities, schools, and some businesses are looking to become more energy efficient. Energy Star provides criteria for energy efficiency surveys.

  • Carbon Foot-printing - Commercial Inspectors Association of America is in the process of establishing standards and practices for Carbon Foot-printing. Carbon foot-printing is a new frontier. Many organizations want to know what it takes to become "green." A Yellow Belt will tell potential clients that you are capable of assessing the Carbon Foot-print of a building.
